Life is never as predictable as we would like it to be. Sometimes we simply have to accept the unexpected. Now: why I am talking about Life in this context: because, several times, a disc failure transformed the images I created. I must add that not always I had been able to rescue the original files, so I had to accept the corrupted one and the lesson behind: everything we create, even digital files, are ephemeral objects which are slowly or quickly disappearing.
Let’s face it: regardless how much we could love our images, their loss is not a big problem: a deadly disease is what I call a real problem: this is… just a metaphor of what could happen anytime.
The gallery below shows a couple of disc failures. It contains strange, automatic, non edited files. Not edited after the failure, at least. Even when I disliked the aesthetic choices made by the machine, I made an effort to accept them as they come.
